I know from my experience of working with many established professionals that those who struggle with charging what they’re worth the most are usually just too nice. Now, I’m not proposing that you are nasty; however it’s important to find the balance.
When you’re too nice, you can’t seem to stop yourself from people-pleasing and sometimes to the extreme, which leads to many problems, not the least of which is a shortfall in revenue.
Tiredness, constant stress, overwork, resentment and overwhelm follow.
Feeling out of control; which is not surprising as you’re just not in charge of your business.
To be able to charge what you’re worth, you have to learn to be in charge of your business, for example:
who you will work with and who you won’t
what is and isn’t acceptable from clients
In essence, to have boundaries.
If you don’t do this, you will continue to chase your tail, grinding yourself into the ground.
If this strikes a chord, then please get in touch and let’s have an initial chat. Just p.m. me saying “initial chat”.
There is no obligation to take it further, no heavy sales, just someone who knows how to listen and understand.
If we then find that we are a good fit for each other, then we can talk about how I can help you.
