Gandhi said: “Be the change you want to see in the world”, which is brilliant of course. My business take on this is “be the kind of client you’d like to attract.”
To achieve this, the following two simple things will probably suffice to grant you the status of a good client.
1) If your supplier asks for information, why not respond quickly?
I know accountants frequently complain about the fact that they don’t get information from their clients quickly enough, which means they are often having to work like crazy at the 11th hour to meet deadlines e.g. tax returns.
2) Pay your supplier on time and with gratitude! If you’re happy with the service they are giving you, it’s only fair to pay them promptly and without fuss.
This will of course endear you to them, so you’ll probably get even better service. It’s a win/win. Everyone benefits.
I even have one client who pays me in advance! She’s also hugely committed and always turns up thoroughly prepared and ready to work. You can imagine how I feel about her and just how much I want to help her.
In summary, treat your suppliers as you would like to be treated and you are much more likely to attract similar clients. https://www.trueworthacademy.com/get-access
